David S. Brown is Co-President
of Grand Pacific Resorts and its affiliated companies.
Mr. Brown oversees all resort operations, and
co-manages development, sales and marketing functions
with his business partner of fifteen years, Timothy
Stripe. Together Mr. Brown and Mr. Stripe have
developed and manage fourteen timeshare resorts
and hotels in California, comprising over 1,000
units serving 40,000 timeshare owners.
Prior to co-founding Grand Pacific
Resorts in 1989, Mr. Brown served as general counsel
to Vistana Resort in Orlando, Florida, and as
an executive with Shell/Winners Circle Resorts
in Del Mar, California.
Mr. Brown serves as chairman of
the California Chapter of the American Resort
Development Association (ARDA), and sits on the
Board of Directors and Executive Committee of
ARDA, the Washington, D.C.-based trade association
representing the timeshare industry, assisting
in legislation and regulation of the timeshare
industry at the state and federal levels. Brown
is an adjunct professor at the University of Southern
California in Los Angeles, teaching in the Masters
of Real Estate Development program, and is a member
of the Young President’s Organization (YPO).
Mr. Brown graduated from Columbia
College in New York City in 1976, and the University
of Virginia School of Law in 1979. He lives with
his four children in San Diego.

Timothy Stripe
is Co–President of Grand Pacific Resorts.
Mr. Stripe is responsible for business development,
acquisitions, banking relationships and co-manages
the sales and marketing activities.
Before co-founding Grand
Pacific Resorts, Mr. Stripe was Chief Financial
Officer for Winners Circle Resorts International,
Inc. During his time with Winner Circle Resorts
he was very involved in the development process
of the related projects. In 1989 he became a principal
and took on the additional responsibility of overseeing
the marketing department of the company, in addition
to the financing and development of the projects.
Prior to obtaining his first position
in the timeshare industry, Mr. Stripe served as
a corporate controller for the Western Financial
Group, a holding company for savings and loan
interests, real estate development, and manufacturing
concerns.
Mr. Stripe is a certified public
accountant and began his professional career in
Public Accounting in 1976. Mr. Stripe serves on
the board of directors for the Carlsbad Chamber
of Commerce and Cal State University San Marcos.
He graduated from Biola University with a Bachelor
Arts degree, and holds a Masters in Public Administration
from California State University in Fullerton.
He lives with his wife and two daughters in Carlsbad. |

Nigel Lobo joins Grand Pacific Resorts
as Vice President of Resort Operations with an extensive
and diverse hotel operations background. He was most
recently the Regional Director of Operations at JHM Hotels,
as their head of operations for Hilton, Marriott, and
Choice branded hotels in the Georgia Region for the past 5 years.
Prior to JHM Hotels, Nigel was with the
Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) for 14 years in
various senior management positions at their Corporate
Offices. His past positions include Director of Training
and Development, Regional Director for Crowne Plaza and
Intercontinental Hotels, and various regional responsibilities
with the Holiday Inn Brand of hotels in the North East Region.
He also has international responsibilities with the Noga
Hilton in Geneva, Switzerland, and the Oberoi Group of
hotels in India.
Nigel received a Masters Degree in
Hotel Administration from the Rochester Institute of
Technology (RIT), NY and an undergraduate degree in
Economics from the University of Bombay, Mumbai, India.
He successfully completed e-Cornell's Leadership and Strategic
Management from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. Nigel also
attended the International College of Hotel Management in
Switzerland, and was the TR Oberoi Gold Medalist at the
Oberoi School of Hotel Management in India.

Timothy W. Shinkle, a financial
service veteran with over 17 years of accounting
experience, is corporate controller and heads the
Information Technology department of Grand Pacific
Resorts. Mr. Shinkle leads a team of financial professionals
who handle all of Grand Pacific Resort's financial
needs, including financial reporting, assessment
billings and collections, and complete accounting
services. Before joining
Grand Pacific Resorts, Mr. Shinkle was an Audit
and Accounting Manager with the Newport Beach,
California office for Pannell Kerr Forster, an
international CPA and consulting company. In his
six years with PKF, he worked closely with clients,
specializing in the hotel, timeshare and club
industry.
Mr. Shinkle is a Certified Public
Accountant and holds a Bachelors Degree from California
State University at Fullerton. He lives with his
wife and three children in Vista. |
